Dean Hickerson

1) Hometown: I was born and raised in New Albany, IN.
2) Education: I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from Franklin College in Indiana in 2012, after graduating from Providence High School in Clarksville, Indiana, in 2008.
3) First Job: Working at the Louisville Country Club cleaning golf carts and clubs.
4) Family and Personal Life: My wife Jamie and I live in Georgetown, IN with our two daughters, Maeve and Sadie. My parents, Dennis and Lisa Hickerson, are also natives of New Albany, IN.
5) Why did you start working in the Financial Industry: I began my career in banking in Carmel, IN, shortly after graduating college. While I was there, I had the opportunity to work closely with a Financial Advisor who showed me how significantly an advisor can influence a client’s life through education, empathy, and trust.
6) What do clients need to know about Bluecap: We prioritize our clients above all else, free from external pressures to recommend specific financial solutions or products. At Bluecap, our approach centers on truly understanding our clients' circumstances and empowering them to achieve their financial goals.
7) What is something most people don’t know about you: I have a passion for reading and exploring ancient history, with a focus on the political and economic backdrop of the Roman Republic and its expansion. I am also a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Notre Dame football.
